OTH and GG

Still sick, it´s a little better than yesterday but still my head is heavy and my nose is bad. Working was fine and then I´ve just been taking it easy which is nice once in a while. I´ve been spendig the last two hours on the couch watching Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. Love it! Now it just sucks because it´s three weeks until new episodes are coming. I don´t understand why they always have to make these breakes. Also seemed like this is the last One Tree Hill ever, makes me wanna cry...

I hate it when I get sick, because all my hope and happiness just disappears, everything is so much harder and it makes me wanna quit. It´s time like these you shouldn´t make any decisions. Or at least I shouldn´t. It´s just so much thinking going on in my mind, and I feel like I don´t want to deal with it right now. Do I have to?

Sick :(

Sunday afternoon, I´ve been awake for about 4 hours. Haha, woke up like 1.30 and had no idea where I was, even though I was in my own bed as always. But at least I slept good. Woke up around 7 with fever, headache and an extremely stuffy nose, but after and Advil I slept good again and when I woke up I felt much better. A little confused though, haha!
Seems like I´m not even gonna open the door today, I was planning on a walk but the weather turned out to be bad so I`m gonna stay inside and do nothing. Maybe some TV tonight, still didn´t finished last weeks Gossip Girl or American Idol. And tomorrow is new ones again, ahh, I´m watching to much TV.

I talked with my little brother for like 2 hours before, that was really nice. Miss that little boy, or he´s not that little, he´s actually much taller than me :P But at least I get to se him in like 3 months, Yeah!! Looking forward!

Movienight with the two Julias!

Hey!
Just came home from babysitting at my neighbours. They have two boys, 4 and 7 I think. They must be like the easiest kids to babysit ever, after 1 hour they went to bed and the fell asleep right away. Then I was watching TV for 3 hours. First I watched Just Like Heaven, really cute movie, like it. Then I changed and found Pearl Harbor on another so I watched the end of it. Omg, that movie is good. After being in America for 7 months it´s even better. You can feel it so much, how they felt and... I don´t know what to say, it´s just a really good movie.

Yesterday evening I spent with the two beautiful ladies Julia and Julia. Me and Julia H went home to Julia L and watched a movie, My best friends girl. Or, actaully, they wathced the movie and I slept. After five minutes I couldn´t keep my eyes open, they were just falling down. And I let them. Then we were talking a lot before we finally went to sleep in Julia´s bed. Today we dropped op Julia H at the metro and we went to Tysons Corner for some shopping. I let myself buy a new pair of sunglasses since little D accidentally stepped on my purse and broked mine. I was feeling so good about my savings until I had to put gas in the car today. Byebye 15 dollars! The thing is that I shouldn´t be complaining about gas at all since it is less than twice as cheap as in Sweden right now. I am so lucky I´m driving in USA.

I know there hasn´t been any pictures in a long time now, but I´ll try to put some up tomorrow maybe, or next week, haha!
Btw, Elin is coming home tomorrow, welcome home my darling! Missed you :)

Friday :D

It´s finally friday, but however not the best one since I turned out having both of the kids home. Big D was at the doctor this morning again for a check up, and it turned out to be bronchitus and allergies. Little girlie, feel bad for her. But no school for her which always is harder, especially when you don´t plan on it. The summer will be like this every day though so I guess I should get used to it though, but it´s just that I´m not prepared. I´m gonna be of pretty early though, around 3 so I´m thinking I´m gonna go to the gym and tonight I´m probably going over to Julia for a movienight :D

No candy so long, feel good :D And today has been pretty good with sweets overall! Finally I´m really sore after my workout too, yesterday killed me litteraly :P But that only makes me feel good.
No, back to work and quiet time...

Pippi Longstocking

I love my kids, haha, I love how that goes up and down every day! But today Big D is home from school, she is still sick, so I asked her if she wanted to watch Pippi Longstocking that I have on my computer. And they love it. It's really old and not like the shows they watch on TV but I told them that it's recorded where I live and that I have visit the house and then they got all excited about it. So cute! And now there sitting there watching it, I'm making them pizza for lunch and everything.

Easy day

Hey!

I'm a bored au pair right now, both if my kids are sleeping, and I don't have anything to do. And I was off for two hours this morning when the kids were at the doctor. I haven't actually been doing anything today. We took a bath but that's kind of it. Well, I'm gonna wake them up soon but I guess they would like to sleep more. They're a little sick so they need to sleep a little extra too.

Tonight it's an au pair meeting in Sterling. Gonna go and meet Julia there, hope it's gonna be fun. They're usually kind of boring but if I have Julia it will be good.

Synchronizing

Puuh, I did a long work out at the gym today. 1 hour and 15 minutes was the total. Felt really good. I started with 45 mintues of strength and then I was running/powerwalking for 20 minutes. My legs are dead, but that only makes me happy right now. I don´t know about tomorrow though, haha!

Right now I´m synchronizing my iPod, well, it´s done but anyway. I can´t decide if I´m gonna buy some new songs from iTunes or wait until next week when I acutally have money. I wanna be good and don´t waste more money this week so I can do it next week instead. Then I don´t have to feel like I´m behind all the time. Okay, I´m not gonna buy any songs, good Maggie :D

Tonight I´m gonna watch Biggest Loser with my parents, I mean hostparents of course. I really hope it´s gonna be good, can´t wait actually, but it´s still 30 minutes left before it starts.

Morning...
I'm tired today. I guess that good feeling I had yesterday got away with my sleep. Little D is in school right now so Big D and I have been working with coins. They're learing about coins in school right now and she has a little trouble with it. I understand that, it's not easy when you're five years old. But she's doing good and she's trying, even though I almost got nuts over her today for just laying in the couch roling around instead if listen to me. She can be very annoying sometimes, but also she is so loving and caring. I hate to tell her that we have to do homework everyday, it's so sad for a five year old. When I was five I didn't know what homework was and I didn't care. I hadn't even start kindergarten. Here they're having homework when they're five. It's crazy, no wonder kids hate school when they get older. I though I had a tough time in Sweden, compared to this I had nothing. We are lucky in Sweden. We don't have to pay for going to school and it's so much easier than here. With that said I need to feed my kid!

Goodbye Maria and Zonny

I did good today, I didn´t eat any candy :D I ate a little peace of cake though, but it´s soo good, can´t be whitout it. Sorry Aimi :P
I felt like I didn´t had time to go to the gym today so I did my workout in the basement instead. I did 50 reps of all the exersices I did which felt really good!

My kids have been so good today. Little D has been so polite and said thank you to everything I gave him and did. He is so cute and got so excited when I told him we were going to do schoolwork. I love that, and he did such a good job too. So proud of the little boy. For lunch I did Swedish pancakes for the kids and Little D ate 6 om them. Big D only ate 1, she is too picky sometimes.

Zonny is about to leave USA right now and that is so sad. It feels weird saying goodbye to someone. I didn´t have to do that yet and it feels wrong. And tomorrow Maria leaves too. Although she is coming back for the summer so I will see her soon again at least. But she will be gone for over a month, i´ts gonna so empty. It was empty now when she was at Hawaii. I hate saying goodbye to people, it´s just too sad!

My family made dinner now so I better eat with them. Bye

Monday morning

Monday again. The whole week ahead, it's nice with a new week but at the same time not. This morning wasn't so bad after all though. I got up whitout any problem and I'm not tired. But I got to bed at 10 so that was good. No, got to take care of the kids now.

Sunday at Ikea

Today I, Julia and Julia went to Ikea in Woodbridge to feel the Swedish atmosphere again. It was their first visit there since the came to the states so the bought candy and other stuff. I only bought "Önos saft", which I really can´t explain what it is in English, haha!
I also have something to confess, I accidentely ate a candypeace at Ikea. It was just a very tiny peace, but I don´t feel good about it. I totally forgot that I shouldn´t and no one stopped me. Well, anyway, no more!!

After that it was time for Zonny´s going home party. He´s leaving for Germany tomorrow and then he´s going back to Sweden for good. It´s gonna be weird not having him around, he is the first one of my friends that are leaving. It was so sad being there and see his family giving him presents and his little boy didn´t understand what was going on. It made me think about when I´m going home, I´m gonna cry like a baby. I can´t imagine leaving my kids, it´s just not possible! Don´t know what to do about that!
Well, I´m gonna go to bed soon, don´t wanna be up to late, gonna work tomorrow! See you then!

HSM marathon

I didn´t eat any candy today! Wohoo, the first days are always the hardest because I simply forget that I was not supposed to eat any candy. But I made today, I said no to Julia when she asked me if I wanted chocolate! Very good Maggie :D

Today we were at mall for a couple of hours, then we went home to Borre and started our marathon. Between the first and the second movie we did some dinner, or Borre did acutally. I and Julia were watching him, haha! But it was really good, thanks Borre :)
For this special occasion we also bought some special cupcakes with HSM theme. This is how much Julia loves HSM!

Saturday morning

Good morning or acutally afternoon by now. It´s just that I got out of my bed around 11 and have just been lazy since then. I was so tired yesterday so I was sleeping by 11 and now I feel much better.

Little D came in second place last night with our cake. It was really good but our cake should have won, it was definitely the best taste. All of the other ones were really creative and nice looking but none of them tasted that good. They were all like regular cake and ours was Demet´s best chocolate :P But Little D was very happy with his second place trophy. Pictues may come later because they´re on Demet´s camera.

Today I´m going to Dulles towncenter with Julia and Borre and then we´re gonna have HSM marathon. I think it´s gonna be a good day. Talking about that I should acutally get ready so I can go soon. Need be in Leesburg in about half an hour! See you later

No Elin, No candy!

I totally forgot to write anything yesterday. I was busy with the kids all day and after work I headed straight to the gym, went home, took a shower and then took of to Friday´s for quiz with my friends. It turned out to be a lot of people and we had good time with a lot of mints. The staff there must really hate us since we are eating all of there free candy :P Haha, but whatever, we are buying a lot of drinks too!

Now to my title. I´ve decided to not eat candy for a while. Since Elin is going to Vegas tomorrow I´m gonna use that as a symbol of me stop eating candy. So from tomorrow, no more candy for me. I´m gonna keep this blog updated how it´s going and let you know my process, haha! So goodbye Elin, goodbye Candy!!

Tonight there is a cake contest at little D´s school that we´re going to. Demet and the kids made a beautiful ladybug cake yesterday that we´re gonna bring for the contest. I hope we win, it looks really good, and we now it tastes good becasue it´s our favorite chocolate cake :) Can´t wait to taste it tonight, and of course all of the other cakes too.

Now I´m gonna make som lunch for myself I think, maybe a cheese sandwich or something. See you later!

Wednesday

Okay, I haven´t been updating the blog so good the last two days, but I just didn´t feel like it. Then I would just have been writing some crap that wasn´t worth to read. But now I´m back.

So, the weekend we spent in NYC as you maybe know. It was great, the best weekend in a long time. It was really nice to get away for a few days and do something else than just hang out with the kids all the time. Here´s a little mix of what we did, of course we did a lot more than that too, but I´m not gonna write all about that. That would be too boring.



Today Elin and her little A visited us for an hour and she and little D were playing really well, while I and Elin was drinking coffee.

Yesterday it was StPatricks Day and everybody has to wear something green or they will get pinched. The evening we spent at Fridays and everybody was drinking green beer. Except me, since I´m not 21, which sucks btw. But they had decorated very nice and everything was green. During the day little D had a party at his school that we went to, it was pretty neat. They got cute little green hats to put on and we brought StPatty Coookies for everybody.

Soon I and Elin are gonna drop of a car that we borrowed this weekend and then I´m going to the gym. I did my upper body yesterday so today I´ll do lower body. I´m looikng forward to break myself down :P haha!

NYC

Okay, I´m home from NYC again and it feels good to be home, but I miss the city. We had such a great time there and I loved it. I´m not gonna write a lot right now, later I´ll write more. Maybe I´ll upload some pictures too, we´ll see!

Quiet time

Little D is having quiet time right now and is watching Tom and Jerry. Quiet time is definitely the best time of the day, I think all aupairs love it!
Well, this is probably the last time I´m writing before we´re going tonight. I´m gonna leave the house at 3, right when I stop working and drive to Elin´s house and then we´re going straigt from there.

Early morning

In just a couple of minutes I´m gonna go wake up me little ones. I just like these minutes right after I wake up, the house is quiet and no one´s screaming or running. These minutes makes it worth to get out of bed 5 minutes earlier that you acutally have too.

A mess

This was my room a couple of hours ago. I was packing for the weekend and made a mess. I like packing and I always take a long time figuring out exactly what I need to bring. That means also things that I might need, but probably not. We´re only gonna be gone for two days, but I just need to bring a lot of stuff, just in case... Haha, Elin´s gonna hate me!

Today has been kind of a lazy day. I was up pretty early to get little D to school, then me and Big D did som painting and some homework. When I had picked up little D and given him lunch Demet took over and I was off. That doesn´t happen very often since she´s working every day. We were lazy on the couch and watched TV for like 2.5 hours. It was nice. Then I actually took a little nap before I starting packing and getting ready for my training. I had my personal trainer today and we worked so hard. Or, at least I did. I´m gonna be sore tomorrow, that´s for sure. Good luck walking in New York, haha :P

I´m gonna sleep soon, tomorrow is gonna be a long day. I and Elin are going to NYC!! Yeeah :D It´s gonna be so much fun :D

Been out running in the wind

I was running like an hour ago, but I´m still shaking and I feel warm. Haha, it´s my untrained body. But it was a good run, I mean, at least I was running more than I was walking and sometimes it´s the other way. On my first half it was so windy I couldn´t hear one thing. It was so hard to fight the wind but on the way back it was so easy and I was running much faster.

Lunch hour

Hi!
I´m having a late lunch hour and little D is having quiet time. We were at the open gym right after Big D went to school. It was nobody else there so we got to play all by ourselves. It was fun too. Little D really enjoys going there. Now, I may take him outside for a little bit, or I´m thinking of taking them outside after we picked up Big D from school. We´ll see. Maybe he wants to do something else inside.

Tonight I´m probaby gonna go for a run just here in the neighborhood. I don´´t have a car so I can´t go to the gym, but a run would be good I think. It´s not to hot outside, it´s around 70 F right now.

Work out

I just finished my dinner and it tasted so much better now after my work out. Today the gym didn´t shut down so I could what I was supposed to do. I did 40 minutes of strengh and then I mixed walking and running for 20 minutes. Definitely one of my best workouts ever. Haha, that doesn´t sound good. But I really feel motivated now. I felt so good on my way home and didn´even feel bad when I walked in to the gas station covered in sweat :P

Today has been pretty easy. After we dropped little D of at school, Big D´s friend came over and played with her. It was easy and I and Christin was watching TV while the girls were playing. Then we just picked little D up and dropped of Big D at her busstop. After his lunch little D fell asleep and I was soo happy! That means I have at least one hour by myself to do whatever I want. Today I worked with photoshop :)
I guess most aupairs love when the kids are sleeping :P

Tomorrow I may go to Elin after work for a run. She tried to convinced me and she acutally did a good job since I´m thinking about doing it. Good for you Elin, you may have a friend tomorrow :P

Tonight I´m gonna watch Biggest Loser, yes! Can´t wait. The ending last time was so annoying, it´s really gonna be cool to see what´s gonna happen today. No, I won´t bore you with that. I`m gonna do some photoshoping before it starts :D

Disappointed

Okay, so we were at Starbucks to say goodbye to Maria who´s leaving for Hawaii tomorrow and then I went home so excited to watch the new Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill, but guess what. They´re not showing new episodes, they´re showing the last one. That really sucked, I´ve been thinking about for weeks and this is it. It sucks!
Okay, enough about that.

Today I was just home with the kids, doing nothing special. In the afternoon little D had his first football practise. We were all a little excited to see if he was into it or not. It turned out that he loved it. He was running around with the football, he listened good to the coach and did his very best. He was so cute and the thought of him running around in real football outfits just makes me wanna stay here forever.



After this I wanted to go to the gym and do the workout I put together with my personal trainer. So I went and I did my warm up for ten minutes watching Friends :)
When I was about to start my exercises the whole gym shuts down and everybody has to leave. Ah, I was pissed of. I had gone all that way just for a warm up. So I went home and did what I could in the basement. But you bet I´m going back tomorrow and then I´m gonna work my ass of. Almost can´t wait for that!

No, I have to jump into bed before it gets to late. I´m starting at 5,30 tomorrow and then little D has school so it won´t be to much sleeping in. See you tomorrow!

Monday morning

I´m actually not tired today, and that´s very weird for a Monday morning. I´m supposed to be tired and hate to get out of bed. But it wasn´t that hard this morning. Something must be wrong with me, hm..

Today we may get some company in form of Elin and her little A, but we may not too. After Big D´s school I´m taking little D for his first football class. I really hope he likes it, but he seemed excited when I told him about it. We´ll se later today.

I was looking at hotels in New York for when my family is coming. It´s just so expensive, but I guess we have no choice if we wanna go to New York. We´re only gonna stay two nights so at least we should be able to do it, even if we have to put a lot of money into it.

Maybe I should be a good aupair and do something with the kids now. See you later :D

Lazy Sunday

This morning I and Elin woke up around 9, of course we wanted to sleep more but we felt like we had to go to her aupair meeting. So we did! We ended up in Frederick instead of going snowtubing and it was really nice. It´s been like 77 F outside today which means about 25 C. It´s cracy!

After this I and Elin went to by me a make up kit from bareMinerals. I´m so happy I bought it, it´s really good. (I tried some of Elin´s.) Of course we had to go to Starbucks too and sit there for a while. We also had time to run in to Target for some shopping, I was good though, I didn´t buy anything.
Today we realized how fun we can have in a car on a Sunday. We don´t have to do anything special, we can just go for a ride and ending up having the best time together. That´s me and Elin, that´s just how we are. Right baby? ;)

I´m gonna try to upload some pictures too, actually took some pictures today so I need to use them. Just need to make sure they
look okay, haha!

Daddys birthday

Right now I´m at Elin´s house. She´s working tonight so I´m joining her for a movie. Don´t remember the name of it, lets just hope it´s good.

Tomorrow is my hostdad´s birthday so we were celebrating it tonight with his family coming down from Pennsylvania. I really like his family, they are so sweet and we hung out outside. The kids were playing around and everybody was drinking beer. Except me since I was driving over here. His aunt brought this big ice-cream cake decorated with the Steelers sign. It was looking really good and it tasted even better. My mommy had made a four layer chocolate cake which I didn´t taste because I was so full of the ice-cream. But I hope she will save me some that I can have tomorrow :P

Okay, now I´m not gonna be a boring friend to Elin so I´ll write more tomorrow! Goodnight ;)

Bored

Hello.

As the title tell I´m bored right now, and not just bored, extremely bored. I have no idea what I´m gonna do today. I should go to the gym, but I´m gonna take a walk with Elin later and don´t wanna do to much, haha. I would go shopping, but I have no money. I could sit here, but it seems like a waste of time. I´m probably gonna hang out with my family for a while. My hostdads relatives are coming here for his birthday party tonight. So maybe I´ll hang out with them. They´re cool!

I´ll tell you later what I decided. haha!

Friday night

Was just watching The Biggest Loser from this Tuesday. Could it be more annoying, they were breaking right in the middle of the weigh-in. That sucks. At least I don´t have to wait a whole week to see it since I didn´t watch it until now. But still, I wanna know!!!

I´m not tired, but I´m really bored and don´t know what to do. I don´t wanna watch more TV, sick of that. I don´t feel like sitting by the computer and I don´t feel like sleep. I just feel like I should do something that I need to do, but was it that exactly. Ah, crazy thoughts right now. Well, I´m probablt gonna end up in my bed with a show on or something like that, haha :P

It´s just so nice outside. I really feel like being outside so I´m gonna take a walk instead of going to the gym. My knees are still hurting a little bit too, so I hope that´s a good decision.
It´s weird how quick the weather change here, I mean, this Monday it was like 10 F outside and today it´s 70 F.

Quiet time

Hello!

Right now we´re having quiet time. Absolutely the best time of the day. But today little D (I use your idea Elin) just refuses to lay still, he´s crawling around on the couch and laying upside down, he loves that. It´s very annoying when you just really want him to sleep. That´s not gonna happen though.

Tonight I´m gonna work a few hours, from like nine, that´s okay. A got to sleep in this morning too which was really nice. Mm, I love to sleep :P
No, now I´m going to watch some Max & Ruby, yeah, I´m so excited!

Thursday night

Hii :D

Okay, so my personal training was good. Not exactly what I expected, but it´s going to work out. Some of the exercises we did was so hard that I thought I was gonna break down. But I did everything she told me, and a little more ;) So now I just have to follow the "program" we set up and then meet her again next Thursday.

After the gym I went to Fridays with Zonny and Julia. On Thursday nights they have a quiz in the bar that everybody can join and that´s what we do on Thursdays. We were actually pretty good, at least until the end when we lost all of our points. Haha, but it was worth it! It was a good time and I ate a yummie ceasar sallad too :)

No, I was thinking I´m gonna watch a show before I go to bed and maybe I´ll even listen to some Swedish radio after midnight :D

Nu är min jobbdag över. Rätt så bra dag, har hunnit med massor med bra. Har tvättat allt barnens och allt mitt och städat en massa. Känner mig superduktig :D

Ikväll vankas det personlig tränare för första gången, yes, vad jag ser fram emot det. Det värsta är att jag har ont i ryggen sen gårdagens träningspass :P haha. Men det ska nog gå bra! Är peppad till topp :)

Oh, I forgot, someone told me that they couldn´t understand my Swedish, so maybe I should write in English. I don´t feel like translating what I just wrote so I won´t. Haha! But I can write in English from now on, so all of my friends can understand and I can improve it too. Not bad!
Okay, Elin will be over in a few minutes for a cup of coffe and then I´ll leave for the gym!

Torsdag morgon

Godmorgon!
Sitter här o bara tar det lugnt en liten stund. Little D är i skolan och för en gångs skull har jag fått Big D att leka helt själv på övervåningen. Det har aldrig hänt förut, är helt förvånad och imponerad. Skönt är det också, kan hon leka ett tag, sen ska vi göra hennes läxor.

Har en del annat att göra idag också, håller på att tvätta massa, alla barnens kläder, deras lakan och mina kläder. Sen ska jag dammsuga lite också. Men det är skönt att ha nåt att göra också, ibland blir man sjukt försoffad när barnen leker.

Jaja, nu är det ju extra kul att blogga för att det är idag.

Gymet

Hej!

Åkte till gymet full av entusiasm för ett hårt träningspass. Började med 10 minuters uppvärmning på cykel eftersom alla treadmillsen var upptagna, irriterande. När Maria kom bestämde vi oss för att gå på kickboxningspasset istället för vanlig träning. Det var sjukt jobbigt och givande. Kändes riktigt bra när vi vandrade ut därifrån, trött i kroppens alla hörn.
Nu ska jag ta en ducsh och sen ska jag käka, åt inget innan jag tränade, dumt nog, så jag är jättehungrig.

Okej, tänkte att jag ville byta från blogg.se till blogspot så här kommer min blogg! Har inte skrivit alls ofta på min gamla, men ska försöka uppdatera lite oftare här.

Just nu befinner jag mig alltså i USA, Virigina och tar hand om två små galningar till barn. Jag är alltså Au-pair vilket är roligt, men också slitsamt och sjukt jobbigt ibland. Jag har varit här i 6 månader snart, vilket innebär att jag har hunnit anpassa mig bra till ett nytt liv här. Jag tänker inte lika mycket på alla skillnader som finns längre, det mesta är "normalt"!

Ja, nu får vi se duktig jag är på att uppdatera, förhoppningsvis duktig! :P
